Sometimes it's fun to be a kid!
Here at Solar we recognise the importance of fostering strong relationships across the business, if our team works well together then the benefits of this are ultimately passed on to our customers. In order to help facilitate this, the company sponsors a monthly outing voted for by our people. These little trips are known as "Pay Day Yay Days" (PDYD) and are a great way to get to know the rest of the team in an informal setting, especially people who wouldn't usually meet on a daily basis.
This month our Manchester office had a PDYD roll- over due to the previous months snow rendering many people unable to attend; The result of this being a double header of activities, sponsored by Solar. The activity for this month was Inflatanation in Salford, an indoor bouncy castle with assault courses, slides, gladiator podiums and wall climbing which gave the team the opportunity to be "big kids" for the evening. It was a really fun way to spend an hour and a great cardio workout!
The evening was then followed by food and drinks together at Turtle Bay on Oxford Road which also saw a few more team members joining for this aspect of the evening. Overall a great night was had by all and it got people from across the business, from all departments, together in an informal setting - exactly what PDYD is all about.
Chippenham are next up with their PDYD who funnily enough will also be going to Turtle Bay this month, only in Bath instead of Manchester, and Cardiff and Harlow who are both going out for meals later in the week as well.
If you are looking for a new challenge and want to join a vibrant, diverse team, please send a CV to email@example.com to see if there are currently any opportunities to become part of the Solar family.
